Bootheels falling on the gangway in darkness fallen by early evening, the Lys Ambassador to Kordal walked up from THE PORT OF KORDALBURG--THE STONE WHARFS. By whatever wan orangeish firelight might be around, the small sky blue colour cape he wore across his shoulders would appear light against the dark of his formal tunic.

Nodding politely to the gangway watch, he said, "Good eve, I be seeking Queen Zanniati of Kin-Darys. I be the Ambassador of Lys to Kordal, and I did earlier promise to convey Her Royal Majesty to the dinner tonight in my carriage..." he trailed off then to see what response he would have, and hope he had not come too late, the drive had taken a little longer than he had expected and it was already a bit after half past seven.

Even at this late hour the crew of the Black Lion were at work, efficient in their task to keep the boat in its pristine condition this ship was after all Vianna's pride and joy. Most politely ignored the ambassador it was not their place to talk to him after all.

A giant of a man, with black hair, blue eyes and a 5 o'clock shadow appeared on the ship deck to address the man waiting below. The giant standing at 6'7" and made of a strong frame seemed quite out of place on this ship, especially when he towered over all of the crew.

"Good eve ambassador I am commander Llyrr , I was charged to tell you that her Majesty and Lady Aspen will be comming shortly." The tall man bowed for going back to his office, the crew really didn't need watching after all each knew their task.

Zanniati stepped up to the deck wearing a grown of deep purple, red and gold, her hair spilling freely over her shoulder to her waist like veiled darkness. Of course the elf maiden Aspen was following her queen, wearing a similar gown of emerald green and golden yellow.

The crew stopped their work and bowed to the women, Llyrr walked over to them and escorted his queen and the young elven princess to the ambassador.

Lord Thornton had simply stood in darkness and waited after the Commander informed him the Queen and a Lady would be coming shortly--the fellow had clearly not expected a response, and was after all a mere ship's officer...

When the two women appeared, even by dark of night it was obvious the slender figures in silk dresses of Southern style were feminine, the Lys Ambassador to Kordal removed his hat and bowed after the crew. Straightening, he said formally, "Greetings once more this day, Queen Zanniati, Lady Aspen," of course, he could not actually recall having met Lady Aspen yet, but had been told the name of the Lady who would accompany the Queen, and so filled it in by inference.

Placing his hat back on his head while he awaited any response from the exotic Queen of Kin-Darys--her Companion appeared exotic as well, by the dim and distant firelight around this night. "A wonderful evening for an outdoor affair tonight, Your Majesty," he said politely, turning to allow the Royal to precede him off her ship. "My carriage doth await your Royal pleasure," he added, "down on this STONE WHARF of KORDALBURG HARBOUR." So saying, he would follow down to the carriage waiting there.

"And a good evening to you ambassador." The young Queen replied before getting of the boat, Aspen of course followed suit. Zanniati then followed the ambassador back to his carriage.
