World of Storm and Fury: Character Profiles: A-E: Elinor
Elinor

Race: Human
Email: diana-geiger@gmx.de
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Birthplace: A Farm in The Lowlands

Appearance:

Being of average figure, neither tall nor smallish, rather slender, with no major gains or defects, a wanderer passing by would call her pretty. Pretty in the ordinary sense that applies to most 16 year old unmarried girls. If one was to take a closer look or even talk to her, he would be surprised how very uncommon she is eventually: Despite her face and hands being dark and tanned by the sunlight she has to work in day by day and despite her auburn hair and eyebrows, her blueish misty eyes would make her look pale and fragile. At the same time, everyone would be charmed by her clear, tender voice and the smoothness of her moves. After this second glance, the same wanderer would not call her handsome, pretty or even beautiful anymore, just fascinating in a special way of hers.

Strengths:

She had to learn how to cut her own path, which has made her quite resourceful and cunning.

Although her education is limited to basic reading and writing skills, she has the intelligence for getting herself out of even the most hopeless situations so that one might even call her clever. And most people would trust her without hesitation.

She has all the feelings good-hearted people tend to have, but sees them as weaknesses and tries not to show any of them.

Limitations/Weaknesses:

Being no one and having no one made her selfish and harsh. The most important thing in the world is having food and a roof over her head; and she has done a lot of things she cannot be proud of just to keep any discomforts away from herself.

Background:

The first thing she can remember is being taken away from a small farm by Valix. All she knows is what he told her: That her parents were dead but he had not known them, that they had been peasants in some village in the South; that there was no one of her family left, that she was the only one. With no money, friends or family to herself, she has always been dependent on Valix, who made her help with the 'business' and his household. Being the type of person costomers trust most, she has become a crucial part of the shop--although she has not yet realized it. Over the years, she has gotten pretty good at telling lies while appearing as innocent as ever and pretty good at not giving it any further thought. She does not like what she has to do but makes no greater effort to change things.
